"Animal Farm" is a classic novel written by George Orwell and first published in 1945. The story takes place on a farm, where the animals overthrow their human owner and establish a society based on the principles of equality and justice. However, over time, the pigs in the group, led by Napoleon, become corrupted by power and begin to exploit the other animals for their own gain. The novel is a powerful allegory that critiques the Soviet Union and Stalinism, but its themes and messages remain relevant to this day. Through its vivid portrayal of a revolution gone wrong, "Animal Farm" invites readers to reflect on the nature of power, corruption, and the struggle for freedom and justice. Join me in discovering what makes this book worth recommending!

1)The Allegories

‘Animal Farm’ is a masterpiece simply because of its allegories.Everything before, during and after the Bolchevik Revolution is represented in this novel. In fact, the more you decipher the allegories, the more you’ll like the book.Even what may look like the pettiest of details holds a significance. And what I liked best about these allegorical connections must be the intelligent way in which they were developed by Orwell. For instance,in the book it is no coincidence if birds and humans both have two legs! Really ‘Animal Farm’ is the epitome of allegorical literature![1]

2) The Dangers of Totalitarianism

Animal Farm shows readers the danger of totalitarianism and how it leads to oppression and exploitation of ordinary people through allegory. The novel portrays how the pigs, who represent the ruling class, gradually become more and more oppressive, using propaganda and violence to maintain their power. They use slogans like "Four legs good, two legs bad" to convince other animals to follow them. The manipulation of language by the pigs demonstrates to readers how totalitarian regimes use language to control and manipulate people. For example, the pigs change the original slogan that meant equality to "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others" to maintain their privilege and control. These manipulative tactics help people understand that totalitarian regimes not only control people's bodies but also their thoughts.

3) The Importance of Critical Thinking

Animal Farm highlights the importance of critical thinking and questioning authority. The other animals are easily manipulated by the pigs because they do not question the pigs' authority or the propaganda they spread. The novel shows that it is important to question authority and to think for oneself in order to avoid being exploited or oppressed.

4) The Corruption of Power

The novel shows how power can corrupt even the most idealistic leaders. The pigs, who originally wanted to create a utopian society, become more and more corrupt as they gain more power. They abuse their power, manipulate language to control the other animals, and engage in behavior that goes against their original ideals.

5) The Narrative Style

The book is narrated in the same manner as a fable. The narrator describes everything in a very clear fashion, as if we were kids. As a result of being treated as such,we read ‘Animal Farm’ through a kid’s eyes and are eager to know what happens next.[2] Through this approach, readers can better understand the information and themes conveyed in the novel, and thus think more deeply about its moral and political significance. At the same time, this narrative style also makes "Animal Farm" a book suitable for readers of all ages, whether they are children or adults, can benefit from it. Overall, the novel's narrative style is one of the key factors in its success, making it a timeless classic.
